Stanley O. Edwards - President
Stanley O. Edwards is married to the lovely Robyn Bynum Edwards and they share three children: Emmanuel, John and Monica. He was born in Newark, New Jersey; however, he is a product of the East Orange school system. Mr. Edwards is a 1978 graduate of the old East Orange High School with Panther Pride, where he played football as a 3-year Letterman. He began coaching little league football upon his return from his time abroad in the British West Indies; and did so until his enlistment date for the US Navy. It was during his time of coaching children that Stanley discovered his passion and calling in life.
After receiving an honorable medical discharge from the Navy, Stanley established the East Orange Rams Sports Club - a little league football program, now known as B.O.Y. Inc. (BETTER OPPORTUNITIES for YOUTH Inc.), where he serves as President. One of the organization's notable programs is T.A.V.E. (Teens Against Violence Everywhere) - a program geared to provide teens with positive alternatives.
As a member of the Central Jersey Pop Warner, he served five years as an Executive Board Trustee. Mr. Edwards is one of the original Executive Board members of the North Jersey Pop Warner where he still holds the title of Parliamentarian. His main goal is to continue to assist North Jersey in its efforts to provide trustworthy leadership and direction to all its communities.
He was elected as County Committee for four terms and served as a Board of Election Official. Stanley is the founding member of a community social group called L.I.F.T. (Life Improvement for Tomorrow) where he serves as Public Relations Chief, and is a Certified Youth Sports Coach Clinician with the National Youth Sports Coaches Association – NYSCA.
